Armor-Tile Tactile Systems

Cast in Place

Armor-Tile® Cast in Place is the world leader in tactile detectable warning systems packaged into the lowest cost installation system available. Cast in Place tiles can be easily installed directly into wet set concrete and easily replaced when necessary. Armor Tile manufactures its tactile walking surface indicators using a diamond-hard vitrified polymer composite that is the industry leader for durability, weather, and wear resistance. These ADA solutions can also be easily cut to conform to angled and radius ramps, and are available in ten standard colors with Federal Color identification.

Cast in Place products are extremely versatile, and can be installed in ADA curb ramps, pedestrian crossings, parking areas, and many more locations. Armor-Tile tactile floor tiles are the best ADA solution on the market for ensuring that your new project is ADA compliant.

Surface Applied

Armor-Tile® Surface Applied tiles are designed to be installed into any existing cured concrete surface where a tactile warning surface is required. These Armor-Tile® tactile systems are very cost effective, and designed with beveled edges to provide a smooth transition from any walking surface onto the tactile system. Installing the Surface Applied tiles is easy thanks to the Armor Tile Tactile Bond and surface applied adhesive along with tamper proof stainless-steel Axis™ Fasteners for long-term durability.

These detectable warning tiles offer a simple and more cost-effective alternative to Armor Tile’s wet set Cast in Place tiles as the Surface Applied tiles can be installed after construction is complete. In cases when dealing with unforeseen site conditions, the Surface Applied tiles can be easily cut to fit any surface. Cutting doesn’t void the warranty. This provides a great deal of flexibility for the installer, and means that the tiles can be applied to any number of surfaces including ADA curb ramps, pedestrian crossings, transit platforms, escalator approaches, and more. These tiles are also lightweight and extremely easy to handle. Overall, Surface Applied tiles are a cost-effective and easy to install tactile walking surface indicator system that are ideal for your next project.
